ChattSoftball
Also today: Polk County - 11 East Ridge - 4 Also earlier this week: Soddy Daisy - 19 McMinn County - 3 Are any local teams playing in tournaments this week? I looked at the Commando Classic lineup and only saw one area team (Walker Valley) in it.
Indian
It's hard to believe ER was once one of the top AAA programs in the state.

FootballFan51
at least 2 of the CCS ladies moved on over to Sale Creek Baylor 12 Central 2 Silverdale 14 Hixon 2 Were they able to pick where they played, or is there a TSSAA rule or guideline? I know Walker Valley had a wrestler from Polk County HS (no wrestling program), but I never heard why it was WVHS that he wrestled for, or if he had a choice. ChattSoftball
Well the first week of TN High School Softball is in the books: This is my Top 10 for the week of 3/16-3/22 1. Baylor 2. Soddy Daisy 3. Walker Valley 4. GPS 5. Silverdale Baptist 6. CSAS 7. Central 8. East Hamilton 9. Whitwell 10. Meigs Big showdowns between Silverdale/CSAS, Walker Valley/Soddy Daisy this week. Once again, it's still early in the season to make things out. We will know more when we get a couple weeks in!

Indian
Meigs didn't play in their tournament with the boys basketball playing at the state, would have gotten a better feel for them if they had.
ChattSoftball
I'm not sure what to think of Soddy this year. They had good showings in the play days and opened the season with a win over traditional power Beech, 6-0. I think their game against Walker Valley will be a good indicator. I think their pitching is not too strong, but their hitting should still be solid.
