dyersburg by 10 or more,  too much team speed r. bell is legit for creekwood, however rest of team not athletic enough to keep up with d-burg

bell is the best player in aa.you can't stop her or guard her,you just hope she is off or misses.this will come down to wire and i hope creekwood pulls it out.i heard alot last year about a team from the west and they did'nt last long nor has any team from the west part lasted long in years gone by maybe this is that part of the state's year.

Rachel Bell is a stud for sure, but I think Dyersburg wins this one as well. Watch out for Mya Taylor from Dyersburg. She's a stud and was worthy of a Mis Basketball nomination this year as a junior. Also, Dyersburgs PG is very smooth with handles and is quick. Also watch out for Chari Swift, Trevecca committ, as well. I've got Dyersburg in the championship this year. They're good enough to get there in my opinion.

If I'm Dyersburg, I run double teams at Bell the whole game or even go to a box and 1. I'd make someone else beat me besides her.

Nobody from the west ever lasts long? Where do you think Gibson County, Bradford, Westview, Humboldt, Union City, Milan, Obion County and Chester County are from. All have won gold and silver balls in the past few years. Dyersburg also won a silver ball not that long ago. I am going with Dyersburg. It is amazing how some folks like to talk without knowing a lot of history.

The county of Gibson has won 13 Gold Balls by itself in girls: GIbson County 2, Bradford 6, Humboldt 2, Trenton Peabody 2 and Milan 1. I am not saying West TN will go dominate this year. Middle TN and East TN has won their share as well, but West TN has more than held their own. By the way,  I picked Elizabethton to win it all in AA this year, an East TN team.

Dyersburg will be tough no doubt.  The only thing that will stop Bell will be a off shooting night and she doesn't have many of them.  She is capable of scoring 40 points on any given night, however if you double team her and triple team her, there are 4 other girls on that team that can shoot lights out.  They are not a Rachel Bell but they are very competitive and very capable.

Creek Wood has a star, but they also have a team that feed off the star.

I'm not sure that Creek Wood has seen a team this year as athletic and as quick as Dyersburg though. I do agree Bell will get her points, but from what I remember, Creek Wood relied a lot off of Bell and seemed to go as she goes. I think Dyersburg is the better team if they come out and play as their normal selves.

    • Wanted to see if all of you would lift up Kyle James family in prayer. Kyle was one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Soddy Daisy and as some of you know he lost his house a few weeks ago and now his family and friends mourns his passing. Not sure if any of you were around in early 2000’s when Kyle was wrestling at Soddy, but he was a 3 time state champ and a Fargo AA along with going to Colorado to train to make the Olympic team. That goal was never reached due to medical issues, but he was an amazing wrestler and his family is as good as gold. If you were around at that time and have any pictures of Kyle, please go onto Alexy Winesburgh FB page and post. Thanks, Doug Benton
    • My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
    • I understand Gibson Co. will be announced tomorrow with a familiar name. Not sure about So. Gibson.
    • A huge addition to the staff today! Former Hardin Valley legend and Richmond College running back Aaron Dykes was announced as the running backs coach. Rushed for over 3,000 yards at HVA, with 35 total touchdowns. I loved watching in Hardin Valley. I can’t believe he’s at Bearden now. I know he was trying to get a HVA job, I don’t know what happened there and how he ended up at Bearden, but I'm glad he’s here and believe he will be teaching art class as well! What a good get for the staff!!
    • Thoughts? Gordonsville won it last year with a sophomore pitcher and returned almost everybody. Can anyone beat them?
