Spring Hill sweeps Page 10-5 and 5-0.  With the sweep they should be regular season district champs but more importantly the # 1 Seed for the tournament.  You have to tip your hat to Coach Lamm and his staff for the job they have done once again.  This program still continues to impress year after year.  Over the past couple years Spring Hill has graduated a lot of talent but the next group of players are well coached and step up.  After last season no one could expect this years results just because of the 3 pitchers that graduated.  Some how this team has found a way and with several freshman and sophomores contributing.  That only means more success in the future.  Congrats to Raider Baseball!!!  Good luck to all the teams as tournament play begins next week.

so 4 plays 5?  5 loses.

4 plays 1.  4 loses.

(1-1) 4 plays (0-1) 5 again but is throwing their #3 vs 5's #2?

then (2-1) 4 wins again and has to beat (1-0) 1 twice who has played 1 game while 4 is playing its fourth game?

so to get to finals 4 has to finish 4-1 while 1 can go 2-0 ?

Have to agree with ECU, worst bracket I have ever seen!  If you are going to do it this way & it plays out as davidlimbaught sets forth, which it will & did, why even have a district tournament? Why not just say regular season #1 hosts Region & #2 travels! Let's not waste the time & $ on this tourney because few teams in high school would have the pitching depth to win that kind of bracket unless you are the #1 or #2.  And let me say Spring Hill is pretty deep in the bullpen especially for a AA team.

All the coaches took a vote to do the tournament this way.  It is what it is.  Coaches can only blame themselves if they voted yes.

Spring Hill is not quite as deep in pitching as in the past.  They are well coached and prepared.  I have said it before but it is impressive what this team has done this year considering the loss of 3 College Pitchers from last seasons team.  Spring Hill is young.  They are about to make it very tough on a lot of teams the next couple of years just like the past years.  As long as Lamm is the skipper Spring Hill will make a run for championships year in and year out.

Can't blame 1 and 2 for voting for this bracket but why would anyone 3-6 vote for this suicide bracket?

The bracket was voted on before the season started, no way any coach knew how the season would play out.

Are we seriously complaining about a bracket that favors the top two teams who performed well enough in the regular season to earn that right? If your team doesn't like the bracket win more games.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
