Warren County Spring Practice

I believe the Pioneers start spring practice on April 21. Who are the people to be looking out for, do they have any scrimmages lined up? A lot of questions to be answered for Coach Smith and the team.

The first question you should ask is why is the DC coaching soccer at Covenant Academy instead of installing his defense with a week to go before spring practice. If this kind of stuff is allowed to continue look for a long year and a short tenure for the new coach

87+ going into spring drills starting Monday of next week, Four days into pads and then they scrimmage. Kids have really been putting some time in the weight room and the results have been great. The team will be very young team this year, only a couple of full time starters back on both sides of the ball.

87 is a great number to have. One of the problem areas in the past has been depth at every position. Hopefully all those kids can develop and allow the Pioneers to play 4 quarters and not fade. Keep up the good work and it'll pay off

I bet by the end of spring practice that 87 number will drop down at least 10 to 77 or less. Gotta get rid of the players who don't really want to be there.

Maybe not but the hitting always gets rid of a handful of kids.

From what I heard the Pioneers didn't look too shabby, picking up the offense pretty good for first day out in pads. It should be interesting to see how things shake out in the QB battle because I was told They have two or three receivers that are a threat and whoever the new rb that wears 1 is turning some heads. If the o line and defense come around as some think it will, things might be turning around in McMinnville.

I wouldn't get too excited Mr.Grimes, everybody looks good in spring practice, it won't be long until the old warren county monster  pokes his head and starts giving his input into the program especially if a certain kid from the north end of the county is not the main guy at QB. ask the former basketball coaches about messing with the mafia.

Drove by the practice field yesterday evening it was actually nice to see a large number of players out.
