Bradley vs Cleveland football this Friday (04/25)

The annual rivalry will be renewed this Friday (04/25/14) at Bear Stadium at 7:30 between these two long-time rivals. Southeastern Football Rivals (sefootballrivals.com) will be presenting the first alumni game between the two schools. Rosters will be from players that are not in college playing football on scholarship. It will be FULL CONTACT with regular football rules for the most part. Come watch these two battle it out at Bradley Central. Tickets are $10.00/each and the participating schools get to split all pre-game sales so buy your ticket early. Gate receipts go to SFR.

I'm not sure but I think Coach Crawford will be coaching the Blue Raiders. Coach Floyd will be playing and coaching the Bears. Weather should be great at kickoff. Local TSSAA officials from the Athens Association will be calling the game.

Over 5.000 in attendance, according to the radio broadcast by 104.1.

Demonstrates the immense rivalry this game brings.

Bradley led 14-0 and 27-14 & won 27-21.

They are already planning to play next year. This time at Cleveland.

Great game! Very long game, but a good one. Bradley seemed to have a younger team and much more speed

Line play made all the difference in this one.  Cleveland had plenty of talent, just no time to show it.  Best gainers (other than the long pass) were on scrambles and busted plays.

 

Great first game of its type though... Game was exciting and not at all "slow".  Good atmosphere too.
