ok so because nobody from Huntingdon claimed the damage it must have been somebody from WC? great logic there Einstein.

Horse dont get too cocky. you're back in 2A where ya belong, that means you have to play teams with equal enrollment and equal means and funds good luck with that. trash talk all ya want but Huntingdon will be the 3rd or 4th best team in 2A out west this year. Not saying WC will be anwhere near the top of 1A this year in the west...but we wont go thru the embarassment of talking like we're getting a gold ball ALL SEASON LONG, then after week 2 of the playoffs Horse will be making his excuses.

Huntingdon has 15 more students. than UC. WC has 140 more. than Huntingdon when they include the jr high. So high schools have about the same number of students. So as far as were Huntingdon belongs is were the TSSSAA saids they belong. When. schools are between. certains numbers thats the classification you play in.You nevet seen where i talk about winning gold. balls.Or made excuses when they lost in playoffs. Because they done better the last 2 or 3 years than i ever thought they would.

Huntingdon has 40 more students in high school than wc. That makes. Huntingdon one of the smallest 2a teams and wc one the largest 1a teams and they still are one of the worst 1a teams in the state Edited May 18, 2014 by horse

When you look at enrollment numbers used by TSSAA for their most recent reclassification, the highest 1A team is Union City, followed by second highest, Dresden, with 3 less students than UC. After Dresden there was a school with 30 less students, which would have been the logical, ideal place to seperate 1A & 2A (the schools above UC, which are now in 2A are just a few more students enrolled for each school). But TSSAA wanted to keep the same amount of schools in 1A and in 2A for playoff purposes (around 44 per classification I think? or 42?) this was a more important factor than just the number of students. If went by number then UC & Dresden would both be in 2A, the two smallest schools, but we now the two largest in 1A with a 3 student difference. BTW, the largest 6A school is Arlington, ha, where I went to 1st & 2nd grade, a small little country school back then. Not any more!

Dresden Lions will be playing game 4 in the Henry County Jamboree Fri Aug.15 against Murray, KY Tigers.. our new Coach Rang vs old Coach Hodge at his new school. will be epic!

It's amazing to watch the improvements in these young men, and how big/ muscular the guys get who commit to the weight program and proper nutrition/ eating. Now if it can translate to better playing on the field, then it's really fun!

Of all schools in Jackson Sun coverage area, ones among top 12 with toughest schedule include McKenzie, Dresden, Huntingdon (and almost made it West Carroll), all in this same district of ours.
