Eh. I'm not too worried about it because they haven't played anybody with a good offense.

Well, Soddy has won 5 games in 2 years and they just put up 54 on WB in a scrimmage. Granted, it's a scrimmage, but I am not so sure I would be as confident as you if I were you. I know I know I am a glass half empty guy, but the writing is on the wall with how many pts you guys gave up to a team that arguably has been worse than Loudon has been the past 2 years :)

Soddy returns most of their starters on offense and have a good coach, they are probably much improved from last year. Bearden and Jefferson County have no offense. We have a good offense. Edited by Governors91

Maybe Loudon returns a lot of their players on offense, too? And how do you know your offense will be that great against a team with at least a little bit of defense. According to Jake and a few others Soddy's defense is paltry at best. I am just being a realist outsider and going by what other WB posters have put who talk with their heads and not their hearts lol

Eh. Don't buy into the results of a scrimmage man.lol they don't mean a whole lot. Most years we win scrimmages and it hasn't helped us much, heck we even beat maryville in the jamboree and they still went undefeated and won state and we were mediocre. And one year when my brother played at Mcminn Central they looked amazing in their scrimmages and even beat Greenback 50-0 and MC ended up going 2-8 and Greenback went 10-0 and ended up beating a team that beat Central in the regular season. I could come up with about a million other examples of this. Scrimmages don't mean much. Another great example is Seymour beat Maryville in the jamboree in 2008 and Seymour ended up losing to heritage and maryville made it to state. We do have some issues on defense that need to be addressed but we don't need to panic over 1 scrimmage.

^ I just know what kind of athletes we have on that offense and I know we were without one of our best players. Our offense has the potential to be very dangerous this year. And if our defense can step up there's not a team on our schedule, besides maryville, that we can't beat. That is if we can stay healthy and the defense can step it up.

    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
