I stopped at Oldham's market on the way home and I got the last bottle of creek water.Better hope it rains soon on the creekbank. It was a great game but one time on the Hartsville side it was quieter than a mouse pee'n on a cotton ball. How about that frosh,QB. I sure would hate to be a yeller jacket in practice next week. WHEEEW WEE!    P.S. get that coach a new towel I think that's it.

 classic.

I find it funny y'all already making excuses why y'all lost

not as funny as the people that don't show up until after a big win to finally start posting.

trousdale's top player went down, and we had several turn-overs. macon county didn't make many mistakes and they capitalized on ours.

those aren't excuses, it's how the game went.

both teams will have good years, trousdale got a reality check and macon got a huge confidence boost. both teams will be better because of last night.

Somebody needs to check. I don't think this is the "real" snoball. No big words, A reasonable well thought out post. No sharp tonged comment.  IMPOSTER

But you did just say Harper was hurt that's why we didn't win sounds like an excuse to me

i thought the first line was a decent slap across his face.

maybe i'm just getting old.

It was...OK..., but them roundheaded ridgerunners done went and beat the defending 2A champs ....on the creekbank.....and that was the best you could come up with?? I was waiting all morning for your assessment of this unusual occurrence. Could be the shock effecting your thought process, but  I've become accustom to a more elaborate response from such a masterful ,colorful wordsmith such as yourself. Slightly disappointed . :bored:

Getting old beats the alternative.

Wow boys and girls what a ball game! I have never been to a game on the CreekBank and boy was that one for the records. I started cheering for District 8AA early and then decided to move to the Tiger's side. The QB for MC had some inexperienced young mistakes at times but that comes with it especially from junior high to high school football. He will develop into a very good QB in the future and he is not afraid to make some plays with his feet. The way the cookie crumbled MC should have won by two scores, TC had too many fumbles and costly penalties which should have hurt them a lot worse than it did. This is the second time this has happened in Week 0 where a district 8AA team has knocked off the defending state champions in Week 0. Last year with Upperman over Gordonsville and now Macon County over TC. I walked in there thinking this would be a three score ball game in Hartsville's favor and granted if Harper would have been in there he is a two score difference no doubt. Huge win for District 8AA and for the Macon county Tigers. The better team overall last night may not have one but Macon county was the better team last night and that is all that mattered.

My final thoughts...not excuses..just facts. And I'm not gonna sugar coat.

MC is much improved. #15 is a gritty kid with a high motor. Kudos to MC for that get from RBS. MC was motivated & played a good..fairly mistake free opening game.

I thought #11 for TC played a great game..but I am biased. It IS difficult when 65% of ur offensive output..& a great free safety.. goes down midway through the 2nd quarter. I think all of our fumbles were from underclassmen..experience will hopefully help that.

Our D line play has GOT to get better!

Too many missed assignments across the board. Way too many costly penalties!

For the first time in a long time I questioned some of the play calling. I didn't get the attempt to bring #5 back in for a wildcat play when he's injured in the 2nd OT. There were a few more instances but I digress.

We had our chances. TD in first OT to win..called back by a hold. Missed 23 yd FG in first OT for the win. Botched snap on 4th & 2 at end of regulation when we're well inside the red zone. I could go on..but..time to move forward. Coach will get things straightened out & we'll be fine. Good wake up call...can't just show up wearing that gold helmet & expect an automatic W!

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
