LOPAO, be careful them Jasper folkes will take it bad, theys claim the new savior is a Rock Star. Don't think the loss ? of spring practice has a nary thing to do with the style of play and this was game 4 and months of preparation in the barn. Just think mentioning spring practice in news article was a lame excuse for offensive mid-fires. The warriors have a good senior bunch like SP both offenses leave folkes shaking heads. Leastways, congrats to the Pounders on the W.

Every coach Marion County gets the fans  thinks he is the savior before he has prove himself.  Do they not remember the last coach. Take the low road and see how he plays out after about 2 years if he last that long.

Ricky Ross doesn't know offense. He needs help on that side of the ball.

I garuntee you that little league should raise some more money and go get them a good offence coach. Better get back on topic, Barney will be in here shooting his cap gun shortly. You think im joking but im not.

Central is a very good defensive team. No shame in losing to them last night. Marion wins the rest of the games this season. 9-1 with no game closer than 3 scores the rest of this regular season.

you thought they would go 10-0. You just build the other team up and not your own team. Most folks know your motto. Pounders were the better team and no surprise to anyone outside Marion Co that CC won

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
