The leadership is not a question now. The Cats are fine. Stay tuned for the show........ :ugeek:

I'm glad they got all of those problems figured out in one practice. Think about what the team would be like if we would have done that at the beginning of the year. Leadership problems aren't fixed overnight. You either are a leader or you're not.

It takes time Shadow, yeah it sounds like there are alot of things the staff should have done from day 1 this year, but I think the main thing right now is to be positive for these players and support them, and yes the staff too. Let the chips fall and see what happens, besides there is not alot you or I or probably 90% of the folks on here can do about it right now except support the program and the players. I can tell from alot of your posts that your heart is in the right place for this program, its a long season yet, lets see what happens man. Go Cats!

It's not about a practice Shadow. It's about the state of the current mindset. We are talking about 15 to 17 year old young men here. Handling success is the easy part. Dealing with adversity and distraction requires mature ideologies. That is where the staff is called to task.

When you drift from the targeted course you readdress your bearing. You make subtle changes as to preventing the tilting of the ship. You don't just head back to port. The Captain along with the officers have studied their miscalculations and redirected the ship with input from the crew. It was last seen sailing steady towards the preset itinerary. A few passengers jumped off at the sign of stormy waters and were left behind. The rest of us are enjoying the ride...... :ugeek:

You are the one that insinuated that all of the leadership problems were fixed over the course of a weekend, not me. It is true that these are 15-17 year old boys, which means it will be an even bigger struggle to change their mindsets. Problems such as these aren't fixed during the season. These are problems that should have been addressed in the offseason but weren't. Whose fault is that?

It shouldn't be hard to get back on course against a struggling Cascade team.

Very true Gator. Have we all forgotten the losses after the 09 season? I think there was an undefeated season a season or two after the SC but we had some good teams since 09 that lost a couple of games or three. End of the world isn't here just yet.

    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
