Old Pirate says the Pirates will have to play better to win this feud. Effort is there, lack of execution offensively and weak defense need corrected. The Pirate have to control the game with some sort of new found running game. If Grundy QB is healthy, Pirates will most likely lose.

It sounds like Indian has been hanging around K.C. and the Sunshine Band.  Back in the late 70s early 80s, Jasper folks used to say refs showed up wearing pirate jackets.

I never have been one to predict a victory, unless it was SP.  So, I'll keep quiet on that.  But like someone said about the Whitwell game...if you just enjoy watching small town football I think the Grundy game will be a good game.  We might not win, but it'll be a good rockem/sockem game.  One thing I keep telling myself is that 75% of our Seniors barely averaged a quarter of play per game last year.  At some point the light's gonna come on and they're going to figure out what to do.  I think this is homecoming for us, too.

Old Pirate says as many games and practices as this bunch has gone thru and if light ain 't come on long ago, the wiring is bad or bulb is bad.

The thing that concerns me is this. If the seniors are the best we have and I'm sure they are. What does that say for the talent under them? That Whitwell team last night returns more starters than SP does next year so that's my point. It seems to be coming to a sudden halt after the small, but steady decline from 2007.
