Sommers
Father Ryan, Cleveland, Baylor, Wilson Central, Bradley, McCallie, Blackman (in individual tournaments), Soddy, Ravenwood, Walker Valley, and probably a far east knoxv-Tricities school will break in, perhaps even Halls (if they kept their wrestlers active & progressing off season)

cbg
who will be on top this year d1 or d2 I wonder? It's difficult to tell until the end of the season. Everyone knows that some teams set their lineup for the first match and never change while others continue to experiment with different lineups until the state duals. Sommers
cbg, You're too modest. Ryan is fairly predictable by the end of the season for most of us. It's the others that can be difficult. Josh Peck also seems to do the same (or similar) by season's end to raise from a 10-15 rank and pull out a top three finish. I really wonder what Ben Smith gets his Bear Nation up to and Papa Bear and his Bros as well.

Coach Smith may prefer to hide under the radar but I suspect he will have the team to beat in D1 this season.

Gordon Connell was the best at manipulating his lineup and Pat Simpson learned many of those tricks while wrestling for Gordon. I just wish that everyone was together so that we could truly see the masters at work when the gold medals are distributed at the end of the season. Sommers
Yes, Gordon Connell, A Brainerd Rebel and Hixson Wildcat! Then to MTSU and then The Big Blue of McCallie for the past 34 years. He certainly rubbed off on a few making many glad, a few maybe a little mad, but all and all,,, worthy of that Hall of Fame as is Pat Simpson after a 35+ year run @ Ryan. What 1978? Incredible! GP West (Brentwood), McCallie Invitational, Bradley and Father Ryan are 4 venues to stage "Being about it and Stop Talking about it" Great start would ba a neutral individual test in October, Greensboro, NC's Super 32! Then... Alan Jones & Jimmy Hiller may love to get behind the Inaugural Big "Happy You'll be Hiller-Check into Cash Bash" dual tourney all division top 2, March 7th, 2015 at MTSU Murphy Ctr!!! Sommers
Here's another bright spot for a team in upper east Tn,,, The future looks solid to compete with Science Hill and other top 10 schools... Tim Marshall, an assistant coach at Tennessee High for two years, was named the head coach of the Vikings, according to a press release from athletic director Paul Pendleton. Marshall is a graduate of Emory & Henry College and began the Vikings Wrestling Club, a program for Bristol area kids in kindergarten through eighth grades.
