The GOONS are right on this one. When Jody Wright helped Loudon escape from District 4AA, he created tons of scheduling issues for the Tornadoes. This ultimately lead to the 3 games in 9 days this year. Then when Fulton had such a hard time scheduling, they invoked that little used rule that Knox County BOE requires teams schedule county other schools, so they got to play Bearden and others.

You agreed with the Goons? This is a historic moment! :)

Alcoa wanted Fulton too, but Jody Wright crossed the line.

Ok, let's get away from the IFL.

LOL .. how many times do we have to say this .. Fulton called Aloca numerous times to try to re sign the 2 year committment .. Alcoa chose to back out period !! They ( Alcoa)  have their reasons ... we ( Fulton) know why they backed out .. they didnt want another L next to the Maryville L ... 14-1 State Champs sounded better than 13-2 ... which is what it would have been last year and this year .... now thats the truth.

Knox Co invoked the rule before Alcoa dropped  Fulton ... Alcoa didnt have to set that up that way .. they could have continued to play Fulton non district but they chose to not play ... and in years where Rankin definately knew Fulton would be strong ..

Tad!! Long time no Fulton/Alcoa discussion!!!

If you think we backed out (which is dead wrong), you should be glad we did. Beating up on the Black Birds got old after 4 years of the same thing so we wanted to let Fulton enjoy a perfect season for a change. So we did you a favor. Be happy! :)

After hearing about the penalties and turnovers Alcoa had it definitely showed they can stumble and if they do stumble against the wrong team they can lose. Looks like some hope for other 3A teams after all.

This year maybe closer than last but football is played differently in Alcoa. Truly amazing to watch. P.S. Zip I t poon squad.

Well, it's becoming pretty obvious that 2 of these 4 teams will be in the finals - Alcoa, Notre Dame, East, CPA. IMO, the rest are at a lower level based on the results so far. For example, Westview barely beat Milan; McMinn Central has looked average the last 2 weeks; Camden loses to a good, but not great Huntington; and Hickman has lost twice. Nobody in district 14,15, or 16 is a contender.

IMO, a 4 team race right now with Alcoa and CPA heading to a rematch.
