Only a fool would say Alcoa isn't one of the top teams in the state. And for the ones that claim we won't play BA or Ensworth, we actually called and they declined because it would be in Alcoa both years. The only team that would agree with the deal was Maplewood. As Alcoa continues to grow despite us being forced to move to 2A next year, we will definitely continue to be unstoppable in the future. Just imagine Alcoa with a 6A type enrollment count??? Unstoppable

Fulton wanted Alcoa... Trust me these last two years are the best we've matched up with Alcoa in recent history... Even better than the epic '06 team where rogan took over the game and scored 24 unanswered to beat Alcoa... Still one of the best games I've ever witnessed at the High School level.

The GOONS are right on this one. When Jody Wright helped Loudon escape from District 4AA, he created tons of scheduling issues for the Tornadoes. This ultimately lead to the 3 games in 9 days this year. Then when Fulton had such a hard time scheduling, they invoked that little used rule that Knox County BOE requires teams schedule county other schools, so they got to play Bearden and others.
