Camden Central at Waverly Central

I think that Waverly's success this year has been a double edge sword. If you notice at the end of the LC game the Waverly players looked gassed. Don't get me wrong, I don't think they let up they just looked tired. Given the fact that their starters haven't played many full games could explain this. I don't believe that is the coaches or players fault. It comes from not so great competition and being so explosive on offense. With that being said they now have been through a 4 qrt war and it could help them against Camden.

I will disagree with your opinion of waverly being gassed. Devon ran straight up the middle the 2nd half never slowing down. Like a machine.

But after the game a player tells me LC line was panting so hard he thought they were gonna have a heart attack. Which only attests to LC playing w alot of heart, determination and pride. Because according to our boys... we coulda played for 2 more quarters....

So.... gassed we were not. In the end. A loss. Yes

Just watched the game over again and during the last possession Waverly receivers were jogging on their routes. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for being tired, but maybe they were just loafing. No doubt both teams were tired and I didn't mean to imply that Waverly was less than great, just pointing out that the fact that they have not played an entire game because of their greatness and it could have worked against them.

can't believe I'm saying this but I actually agree with you. I made that point before the Montgomery Central game. I though they should had played every game at least into the mid-4th quarter since the Montgomery Central game.

    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
