Not exactly. #5 ran for over 100 yards against you, dragging kids into the end zone multiple times. #28 had over 200 yards on your mighty defense. You guys won, but you gave up 41 points. You do realize that isn't exactly dominating which is the picture you continue to paint. Had you "released your ends and LB's" #5 would have run for about 250 as they could not have kept up in the 2nd half, that is the whole reason Sharp didn't let them go, to avoid screen and big runs by the qb. You keep saying Waverly was rattled as well, other than a cramp the game was never stopped for a Waverly injury. It was stopped multiple times for cramps and injuries for Lewis County, does that mean you were rattled too? No, not at all. Like I said on Friday night, congrats on the win. Lewis deserved it, but you gave up 400+ yards to a "scared of contact" Waverly team. You didn't dominate anybody on the defensive side of the ball, offense was a different story.

Camden you better hope it rains Thursday and Friday if you want it to be a "run away"

why would we want that? Wet balls not good for us either...we are fast and big wet ground makes it hard to run to the outside for big boys..that little feller LC ran at ya barely left foot prints...

I'm only using stats to show that Lewis County did not dominate defensively like a poster suggested. I have said multiple times Lewis deserved to win and made the plays when it mattered most. I thought Lewis County did a great job of getting to the outside with 2-3 blockers to lead the way most of the night.

This game has drawn interest from all over...Crazy  EMG I dont think there will be a stream but try http://radio.securenetsystems.net/radio_player_large.cfm?stationCallSign=WRJB   Flash calls it like he sees it for good or bad..been doing Camden games for what seems like 30 years and I may be selling him short.  Very professional and has friends on both sides of the game..

Thanks Beagle Sure do hate to miss this game.

The point was that stats do not tell the whole story. Like you said LC made the plays when it mattered most. How do you measure and put a stat to that? I'm not saying that LC dominated the game defensively. However, when facing a high octane offense like Waverly and you make the plays when it matters most that's not a bad defensive night! How many games are won each Friday night because of things that are not measured? I've seen many of a game when the team with the best stats came up on the short end off the stick!

      A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.

      For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
