Spring hill is not as bad as they have been.

We looked more like the team I've been expecting to see all year. This is the time of year you would like to be peaking. If you remember last year we really got to playing better after Ensworth. I see that happening again this year. It's going to really make for some disappointed Marshall County folks!

HEY JD how did that feel! You still cleaning up the locker room or you pickin up trash off the bus? Much respect for Coach Osteen and Staff really wanted to see you with the W tonight. Great Job Bobcats! Moving on to Bigger and Better things as JD describes it.

I'm glad to see that I'm in your head so much that you stay up all night just to get on the T and talk to me....How did that feel?? Probably not as bad as when Giles lost to CPA 48-12!! Yea Marshal County lost to one of the best teams in the state. Y'all have lost to a lot worse!

Glad to see we are the first thing on your mind in the mornings jd.  Giles played 10 times better than they have the past 3 games.  Just remember when you play a team that feels they have nothing to lose, they sometimes give you more than you bargained for.  Cats get the week off to heal and get ready for the tigers.  I feel they will be very inspired. GO CATS!!!

Congratulations to Spring Hill on a hard fought game. Your QB is a great athlete & competitor. You guys are a much improved team from years past. Good luck on the rest of the season.

Good start Cats. No turnovers, special teams looked better, and I liked the gang tackling. Lots of good hits laid out there last night. The O-line showed what they can be. Two weeks ahead to get ready for marshall.  I'm liking this new attitude.... :thumb:

Now Jd dont be mad, CPA is a taste of what you will run into in the playoffs. Looking forward to coming up to see you in a couple of weeks. You know it feels good for all the pressure to be on you Marshall for once. Alot riding on this Halloween night game....no pressure  ....see you Halloween night. BTW we do tend to bring a few fans, could a few of us come and sit with you?

@catfan68 thanks. Good luck to your team as well. Spring Hill has a little RB that bounces off tackles. They actually were about to go up 14-0 on MC, but fumbled in the redzone. Don't overlook SH. As for the Tigers, they will have their hands full tonight, but I truly think they will be prepared. Win,loss, or draw I'll be here rooting them on as I always have. Side note - SH has a qb that looks good, but they don't use him enough. They are mostly a run team. I scratched my head on that when we played them. I hope all the 12aa games turn out to be good ones.

Tough luck last night Tiger, they (CPA) are something else, looks like we have a  pretty big game coming up in a couple of weeks, see yall soon man, good luck from here on out.

Doesn't look like Giles will get a taste this year.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
