Chattanooga Talent? Top Teams?

Baylor lost to Hamilton heights by 12 in the Rhea County Christmas tournament about 2 weeks ago. HH does have some local Chattanooga kids. The best players are freshmen and sophomores. These same local girls play for the TN Xtreme for AAU and they won AAU state division 1 this past summer. They only lost 1 game from March to July while playing in tough tournaments against tough teams. There are good AAU girls teams in Chattanooga.

I think I said as a whole. AAU in chatt should be off the chart good but AS A WHOLE its pretty weak.

I wish more teams would turn in their weekly stats, right now it looks like only about 6 and one of those is from North Georgia. It takes about 3 minutes and you don't have to put in field goals made out of attempts, etc. Points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks is sufficient if a coach doesn't want particulars about strong or weak shooters.

Several are now doing so. More ought to though.

Do not agree. McMinn might be the best team in this district.

This has to be the funniest comment I've ever seen!!! McMinn's girls are 3-8 in their district, losing by 32 and 53 points to Bradley; losing by 25 and 32 points to Cleveland; losing by 16 and 20 points to Walker Valley; and losing to lowly Soddy-Daisy by 10 and even worse losing to Ooltewah by 6.

I understand McMinn County should be a contender this year with a very young but talented team. They possibly could start 2-3 freshmen....inexperienced yes but loaded with talent. They are athletic and play aggressive. You will see a lot of diving on the floor and crashing into the bleachers with this group.

Contender for what? McMinn County was picked #4 in the 5AAA preseason poll, but finished #6 out of 7 teams in a pretty weak district. They won't even make it to region this year.

Who was it that told you McMinn wasn't that good early in the season when you said they'd might win the district? Coaching isn't that good and the players aren't talented enough to win in a weak district.
