There ya go JD. Much better. Zinged me!!! Good job! :thumb:

Still trying to figure you out. You don't like Lawrence or Giles. You are thumbs up for Franklin County. Seems like you're like a 4 speed Nova on a weekly pay used car lot. Everybody's tried you out but nobody wants to take you home. :roflolk:

You would talk about a nova...They were probably still making those when you got admitted.

I will say this, and this is only talking to the Giles Co football team.

You started off the season with 10 men on the field. You did that to remember and honor fallen teammates. Tomorrow night, you honor those guys, on EVERY play. You play with those two voices in your head telling you they won't accept anything less than your very best. You've carried their jerseys out before every game. Do not let what that means wear off in the least little bit. You give everything you have and a little more. A little more for what those guys would have brought to the team, but cannot now because of unfortunate events. Tomorrow night, you rise above everything. Win or lose... Rise above.

Good luck to both teams. I hope it's a "cat" fight until the very end. I hope both teams give their all because that's what this rivalry deserves. Whatever happens, know that both towns will be proud of what you've accomplished.

JAFO, well said. Men put all your heart and soul into this game not just for yourself, but for your fallen teammates. Your fans will have standing room only and we back you boys all the way. You believe in yourself because your fans believe in you. Coaches we have your back as long as your in Bobcat Black and Gold. Marshall Co since you only have a handful of fans maybe you could sit in the visitor section of the baseball field cause we are going to pack your house. GO BOBCATS

Man, thanks Sport I just sat here sand cried thinking about this. I know how much the game meant to Tison and Trent. Things haven't been the same for anyone. Miss them both something terrible.

With you JAFO. I can picture these two on the field. Tison' s grandfather never misses a game and very little practices, so this would be a tribute to him. All these boys have really shown so much respect. I know the other day after a practice I overheard a lot of the boys calling Mr. Cox granddaddy. This is really a great group of boys that we have. Win or Lose I will always be glad that I'm part of the BOBCAT NATION.

Al Cobb is coming back into town this weekend! If we let him call the plays instead of that idiot so called "coach" of ours we could come out with a W here. However, Ole Walt will end up screwing this one up too. It's a shame, this is the most talent we've had since 2009.

Why would Al call the Bobcats' plays from the Marshall County sideline? Winning Bobcat blood is so embarrassed by the current staff and miss the old staff, they'll support the old staff. Older Cobb was in the pressbox last week keeping warm. Don't be surprised to see VMI QB supporting Coach O. Watch after the game to see where Giles's stars' affections belong. Go Tigers!  :hungry:

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
