42-21 TCA. Hats off to Riverside! They played inspiring FB but TCA's offense was too much. Proud of TCA considering QB was injured and was a game time decision. James Bond had 200 yards rushing. Yes, we can run the ball! Goldsmith also did not play trying to heal up for the Huntington/Trenton winner. New season begins and we desperately need the bye week to heal up!!

Congrats to Riverside on a well played game. The Riverside boys hung with the number one 2A team in the state until the fourth quarter. The game was closer than the final score indicates. I'm really looking forward to the playoffs and the next two seasons with this young Riverside team.

I agree they hung with us and played real well but our QB was extremely limited and could not run the ball or plant and throw very well. Also didn't have our best defensive player(goldsmith). He also is a bruising running back. I actually wasn't sure if we could win by more than a TD with our situation. I was very pleasantly surprised that we pulled out a 3 TD win. Riverside is going to be a force the next couple of years. QB is outstanding and can run the ball! Riveraide had a pretty good defensive scheme early in the game.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
