I by no means dont  know alot about the brackets , but i think they take the conferance champs and put them on the one line so south gets the edge over cath as they finished 2nd in their conf. even though alcoa is 3a - fulton and knox carter are in the same conferance both being 4a - then you through in the tie breakers south had a better record of teams they played in the win-loss side so they get the 2 seed and greeneville the 3 seed - ive said enough im causing myself to not be able to think lol!

Sullivan South has 42 wins by opponents and Greeneville has 41 unless my math was off.

Why did Signal Mountain change from a 4 seed in Quad 2 in your first unofficial bracket to a 5 seed

in your latest unofficial bracket?

In the official TSSAA bracket SM is a 4 hosting DeKalb County.

The reason they are a four now is the TSSAA put Page in Quad 2 and Marshall in 4. If the teams had swapped which is what has traditionally been done by the TSSAA Signal would have been a five. This is a better draw for Signal for sure.
