if you have the time and were interested, would you, could you...please show us what the playoffs would look like in 3a and 4a if the Z plan were not in effect

 

 

as in...distrcts 1 and 2 would be region 1...the top 4 vs the top 4 of region 2 being composed of districts 3 and 4...

Bp I think it is the 13 of this month for the releasing of regions or districts.

sounds great GB...im in no rush   i did what i presume to be 4a quad 4 yesterday and not a whole lot changed except for lexington facing crockett

Below you would see what the playoffs would look like in 3a if the playoffs where using the old region format. Now this is not an exact science because of teams being in different districts but it gives you a pretty good idea of the difference in the z plan and region plan. In 3A, there were six teams all with losing records who would have made the playoffs, while 4 teams with winning records would have been left home. Also out west I had to bring over JCM to another region due to lack of teams. An * by a team names means they did not qualify for the playoffs this year.

One tweak I would make to the Z Plan is instead of splitting quads by 8 teams, I would split them by 16 and have a East/West side seeded 1 through 16. Here is what the playoffs would have looked like if that was the case for the West Side of the Bracket in 3A. I believe it would help eliminate first round rematches and not condense quality teams.
