TigerPride23
Jennings looks the part. Defense (and coach shaw receives credit here) adjusted very well. They had some athletic backs that scared me at first. Were running on us pretty good and something changed. We shut them down after that. Offensively.. I hate to say it but our receivers are the weak link. We just don't have anything there. I'm not taking shots at kids or anything like that but the receivers don't have size or speed. JohnnyRay
As soon as Gomez went out there was no answer for Wharton. It was a well-fought game.

Penalties really hurt CHS. They will clean that up.

Thanks for your input. Any wins we get this year against teams that are comparable to us talent wise, will probably be hard fought, grinded out type of victories. I just don't see us lighting up the scoreboard and blowing people out outside of 2-3 games. That doesn't mean we can't have a very successful season though and win 75% of our games. Over the radio it sounded like Trapp didn't make the mistake of trying to run his traditional wide open spread offense too awful much. Sounded like a lot of heavy sets with 2-3 TE's, some I formation and all of that good stuff. Very good news IMO. I reckon we had like 340 or so total yards on the night. It sounds like Shaw made some very good adjustments after the first couple drives. We held them to 174 total yards on the night. I'm impressed by UHS even in defeat. As it stands now they should probably be considered the favorites to take the region title.
DCTIGERFAN
Vic. I guess his last name is Johnson. Not sure why I was thinking Wharton. Vic Wharton, recent Independence star who went to UT as a slot WR, but has done quit the team because he didn't like CBJ's potty mouth. Omniscience
Sequatchie held Pitt to under 75 yards on the ground I'd say, neither offense did anything. Sequatchie run D is very good. Indians blocked a punt with 3min to play inside the 20 to set up the final score. Both teams may have combined for 200 yrds of offense
DCTIGERFAN
Well I see Cannon County lost another bad one tonight . I reckon they switched to a I-formation offense. Under Coach Daniel they have had a different offense every year. CC has a female on their squad. Livia Walker is her name, and shes their starting kicker too. DCTIGERFAN
Ah, thank you. That explains it lol Yup, I really hate UT lost him too. He was just going into his sophomore year, and I think he would of ended up being a really good player for us. He transferred to The University of California. Talk about a drastic change, ya know?
