ViewFromCheapSeats
Four state titles, a #1 "national" ranking and a national Coach of the Year award (from 2013!) apparently weren't enough for the fine folks at Franklin High School. Franklin Athletic Director Toby Ruth decided it was "time to take the program in another direction." http://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/high-school/2014/11/13/longtime-franklin-soccer-coach-released/18996353/

Playerscoach
Booger is 100% correct. This move was talked about for months.
trebs
Directly from The Tennessean: "I was given no reason," Burchett said. "It's just kind of disturbing and disheartening." That does not sound like the coach wanted to move on.
bobcats56
Sounds like an odd situation...
CoachHolly7
Coach Burchett had no intention of leaving. Williamson County has a bunch of know-it-all diva's with blown-up egos that run their schools and athletic programs. He is a great man and a great coach. Big loss. Wiredtowin1
Probably a princess or two weren't getting enough play time or were playing the wrong position.
Playerscoach
Been coming since the season started. Cutting seniors and allegedly hinting you're leaving are counter productive. The guy has done amazing things with that program and deserves the credit. He will be missed.

ridges82
So is/was Burchett a teacher at Franklin?
RonMexico3
Looks like the girls team will be in pretty good hands moving forward. Congrats Coach Mike!
