Dresden Lions 2015

Typically, after Christmas.

In past the Lions lift after after dead period. Not enforced by coach, but the core of the team lifts during both bb seasons. That is why them little o lineman can compete with the big boys. Lift hard lions! 2015 starts now!

Football needs to be year round. Maybe not at the school but Dresden offers plenty of places to get together for lifting and conditioning. I know the kids need a break but ask any player that has graduated and I bet they will tell you they should have and could have worked harder.  

Wish mine would've lifted as hard his Jr and Sr year as he is at college. Upperclassmanitis took it's toll on him along with dear hunting if you know what I mean.......

You can start lifting I think 2 weeks after your last game played.

Do any of you all know if Dresden is on block schedule or period-style classroom schedule? If you are on block schedule, you can set this up as a spring sports cond. class.

We did have block but they decided to go back to periods.

That sucks, from a coaching standpoint.

They might still be able to implement weightlift during the school day. I'm not sure.

How many coaches are on this staff? 4-5?

Basketball players can lift which is the majority of our skill players. IF THEY WILL LIFT!!!! I'm guessing that isn't a big priority right now. My opinion football made Courtney Sawyers and Austin Daniel better basketball players. We all know what opinions are like though.

Yeah, agree and thanks. Just wondered. So many of these coaching staffs in NW TN have grown over the years, I jus wondered it Dresden staff had too.
