wboro33
I was thinking about who was starting in the line at the beginning of the year. WC will return Horton and Skelton at d ends and you will probably have Floyd and Birchette on the offensive lines. Yes my youngest will be a freshman and I don't think any freshman is ever ready to take a spot, maybe help with some depth. There's some talent coming from middle school but they got a lot of work to do between now and next year. what about the martin kid hes got some size i remember made a couple plays this year.horton made a few sacks this year and several qb hurries.if u hadnt figured it out allready im really PROUD of the horton kid, i think hes had a really great breakout year. Camfield did also, both we're very dependable receivers. As for Martin, I think it's dome personal issues, hopefully it will get worked out before next year, WC could really use him. wildcatpride70
I totally agree and losing #70 is gonna hurt bad! As for coach Pierce, I have heard the same thing. I was told by a family member of his that he was retiring, but I seriously doubt that he will. They were also supposed to retire about eight years ago. wildcat89
I think what will happen next year is Ruddle will start at defensive end and Horton will move to corner or safety because of his speed.

catsdad
WC success is going to come down to whether or not they can get some lineman to step up, I been thinking this for two years and that's why I argued with you about next year being WC's year. If WC had stayed healthy this year I think it would have been the best team they will field for a couple years. WC will be loaded with skill players next year but can't name one starting lineman as of right now. I would say that next year we struggle with the stronger teams with all the new o-lineman but gain valuable experience. I'm thinking we will have a better overall team the next year even though we loose very good skilled players. You know me, I'm all about the play at the line of scrimmage. The team that wins that usually wins.
Monkey Wrench
They were also supposed to retire about eight years ago. Is his last kid graduating? may be what he has been waiting on. I'm sure coaching is stressful.

Folks always forget about ol Tricky Nicky. He's been able to retire for a while but has stuck around.

He's been able to retire for a while but has stuck around. He taught me a lot in baseball. I credit a lot of what I learned to him. He is an awesome secondary coach, and if a player will listen to him than they'll be in the right spot to make a play.
