Word is Your Owls said NO to Scrimmaging OR today. Willy Blount said yes but the Owls said NO? What's up with that?

I'm no rules expert, but it's pretty clear that you can only scrimmage 3 teams plus a jamboree. A three way scrimmage counts as 2. Ooltewah has had their schedule set for a LONG time. The classy thing to do is not cancel on next week's opponent last minute.

Hope y'all had a strong, injury free night 'Cats!

It was ugly ugly night for Oak Ridge o-line.And the cats are tryn to get better at running the ball and other things. We know we can go deep to Tee and Darel so I understand not doing that today but the Offense just looked like they have took 10 steps back.Who knows which QB should start because they dont get 1 second to make a pass.We threw 2 picks inside 10 or 15 yd line.No really long runs. Also dont read the D good yet with that inside run.Defense did good but the Varsity D didnt play long.I left after about a hour and half so hope it got better.

Not good, at all. Lost our starting MLB for 3-4 weeks with a high ankle sprain. The offense looked bad to put it mildly. Defense was fair. Had some holes in the secondary, but cleaned it up as the game went on. Honestly not a lot of bright spots tonight. OL looked very bad. Won't get into what I think is going on there. On a bright spot our JV whipped theirs and those 2 freshmen continue to impress. Not a very good night all in all.

That sucks losing our 2nd best player on d.At least its not worse.I really dont know how the Oline could get any worse

Dude. I am utterly speechless about the O-Line. Not even gonna try to sugar coat it. But, that's what happens when a lot of them have quit since last year. We have about 10 O-Linemen and if something doesn't change we will have zero. Read into that how you want, but you can only blame these kids so much. We are just working with what we have. If we can't block any better than we did tonight we wouldn't beat Oliver Springs. Yeah, no sugar coating.

Ooltewah is the farthest thing from my mind right now. I'm just worried about getting past Clinton.

Just saying.... Those guys are good. I know for a fact we won't see a defense like that all year except for Maryville. Their whole defense was in our backfield just about every play.

Yeah. I'm sure they are. I'm pretty upset, but in reality you have to take scrimmages with a grain of salt, but we do have issues on the offensive front. Just no getting around that. With that said Nole's son #10 had a great game tonight and ran very hard. Proud of that kid. Him and all the other backs ran their tails off. Just no room to run mostly. Nole's son had some great runs.

    • Wow, that really stinks. I hate that for you guys.
    • Not sure what you mean? 40 TOTAL? Macon is a good team no doubt, but I believe they've only scored 35 total points against Uppeeman the last two years, and that's over three games.
    • This scenario resonates with the dynamics observed in my hometown of Hartsville. The undue influence of politics on high school sports remains a pervasive issue, detracting from the integrity of athletic programs.  The proliferation of individuals driven by a thirst for power inevitably precipitates the downfall of any program. It appears that we are currently grappling with similar challenges akin to those faced by Greenback. Please accept my condolences for your ordeal.
    • From what we are hearing on the reservation we will be lucky to beat sunbright. And trust me I am not throwing stones at them because they play their hearts out. It’s a tuff game every year, just like Oakdale but when you have small numbers that’s what you get. And then you add in that you loose two top linemen and the starting qb!!!! Along with a running back!  We are in deep trouble.
    • The coach's departure ensued due to the absence of backing from the board members, compounded by the unsettling revelation that one board member persistently surveilled him, verging on conduct akin to harassment. Furthermore, it appears that meeting the expectations of this community remains an unattainable feat, as even a hypothetical scenario of clinching five consecutive state championships would likely not suffice to quell discontent. The current situation is fraught with complications, primarily stemming from applicants for the position who have cultivated relationships with board members known to have opposed the former coach.
