Hope WC finds a better coach and Franklin County loses every game.

FC will win games next season no matter who would have got the job. FC has a lot of talented under class man moving up next season . Will make the head coaching position much easier. As for me warren county could have kept him. We needed to hire McCurry. If warren county wants to win in the super 32 they need to go after McCurry he is at buckhorn high school in Alabama just across the boarder of Franklin county. Edited by jemarshall32

You keep saying "we" but did you play for the rebels?

A coach is relieved of his duties and it only takes 3 weeks to find his replacement?

That was quick - what gives?

Is this the guy known for the Multiple Trigger offense?

Good luck

That's him. FC coach let go 3 weeks ago about the time Warren placed in the district with Murfreesboro group. Smith told his players (by text) that he was leaving because he didn't want to move. Sounds kind of shady, but hey not everyone has the balls to look a bunch of 16-17 year old kids in the eye and tell them face to face why he's going somewhere to coach another bunch of kids. Be cautious Rebels

Texting his players was about as classless move as I have ever heard of!

He's gone, end of story. Question is where do we go from here ? I think , in order to compete with the Boro schools, we must recruit, as they do. If we see a kid in Dekalb, White, Cannon, Grundy, etc. , we need to actively pursue them to consider coming to Warren County, when they are 7th or 8th graders. Maybe a Bridgestone job for one of their parents would be a enticing lure, if we can find someone there to be a partner, in Warren County athletics. Besides, after that kid is here for a couple years, is he not then, a Warren County resident ? Food for thought !

    • Hope the catcher on baseball team come back out and play's football . He didn't play last year if I remember but I don't remember much after that wreck anyways.. But he did play his freshman and soph years and I thought was a very good player. He's put on some size now, so I'm hoping he's thinking about playing again..
    • Pirates are young this year.  Gordy can sleep on them.
    • They’ll get it worked out eventually.Farragut is too good of a program to be down for long. As an OR fan, I can’t really say I’m too distraught about it though.
    • I didn’t even see that until you said something, but I don’t think it’s that bad. Yes, the coaches can’t get along with each other. But I don’t think they’re openly taking shots at each other right in front of the parents. If they are, that’s pitiful though, that’s really pitiful. I sure hope they’re not, but yeah, I’ve heard the same thing from players over at Farragut getting fed up, and I feel as though what the coaching staff has been trying to keep under the prying eyes of the parents is now out on full display.
    • and there is definitely a reason for that—more than just Catholic recruiting.
