I think Clarkrange and Jackson County are the top teams in the district this year.

3. Monterey

4. Clay Co

Not sure if Pickett is going to have a team this year.

Pickett has had offers from coaches but the powers that be wants to do away with the baseball program & turn the field into a football only field. Its a shame.

The force is stronger on the baseball side for cookeville.

When I spoke to coach Nelson recently he made no mention of not coaching. We were talking about the Clay up coming season.

Since 2000 only 3 teams have won this district, but after this year Clarkrange should make it a fourth.  In baseball it's all about pitching and if the kid from Clay is as good as I have heard and if they have someone to go along with him then Clay could end up winning it.

He played QB for Clay this year.  About 6'5 - 6'7.  I was told there was a video of him on youtube throwing an 86 mph fastball and he's just a sophomore.  I haven't seen the video, but he has the build to be able to do it and I know he can sling a football.

My pick for this year would be Clarkrange for sure. Got to see the Parker kid pitch this year watching my boy at the UT fall camp, impressed me, cruised low mid 80's, heard the rest of their staff was strong, should be interesting

didn't get to see clarkrange or clay co play last year so not sure on there strength but Jackson co have a few solid freshman this year. I know they have one starting in the outfield and in the pitching rotation. They should be tough if they stay healthy
