TheAmbassador
Greenback nor any other team in the east in 1A will challenge the west in 2015.
beerman
Who is the front runner in the east, and who is the west? Agree east will play for second place.
TheAmbassador
In the east? In no particular order I'm going with Greenback, Coalfield, Oneida, Columbia Academy and SP. SP has a lot of work to get back in the conversation. The west has 3-4 teams that are better than anything we have in this half of the state. There is and will be only 1 contender from the east, and that's the one that will be left to play in the championship game. I thought you were more "all-knowing" than that. Heck, Roy can pick those 5.

PiRaTe._.MiKe
I will pick Coalfield and Peabody. I figured Peabody in west, but east seems like a toss up. I'm gonna say coalfield too since they were in it last year for the east.
TheAmbassador
The east and the west will both be tossups in 2015. Trenton Peabody, Union City and NCS will be the top three in the west. Behind them I believe will be Wayne Co, Huntingdon, Trousdale and Dresden. I believe the teams I mentioned in the east are the only teams with any kind of chance at reaching Cookeville. As for an east front runner? That might depend on how many transfers MadVegas brings in for Greenback. LMBO
piratetom
The East will be fun to watch this year...it will come down to which team stays healthy and is playing at a higher level come playoff time----

If I am not mistaken Columbia Academy loses their QB, but returns the main receiver. Could be tough if they don't have someone athletic to take last years QB's spot. He kept them in a lot with his ability to scramble.

The Cary kid was a good QB and came from a great family as well. He won't be replaced, but they should still compete in a very weak east in 2015. PiRaTe._.MiKe
What about Clay County? Don't they return mostly everyone?
ladykee
The season will tell the story of just where Greenback stands compared to the rest. Until then we have Preseason workouts, Spring practice in May, 7 on 7 clinics, camps, and a lot of strength/conditioning and learning the offense. I have watched a lot of these kids for years and they have always competed even when in paper they shouldn't have been able to. We were always a few positions shy of setting a full table, but managed to steal a few because of some great athletes. Now that there is more in the arsenal and other players have evolved WATCH OUT! There is so much energy, motivation, and chemistry in that club right now they are pumped. Now they just need to deliver.
