Summertown Eagles Inaugural Football Season.

Summertown High School out of Lawrence County, Tennessee will begin their first season as a official TSSAA football program in the fall of 2015. Former Columbia Academy coach Leslie Mote will begin the building stages as the program's first head coach. Let's get opinions and get the chatter going.

I believe the credit for building of the program goes to Coach Jake White. The actual first head coach. he did the hard part of building a program... going from idea, freshman, jv to varsity.

Does anyone know why they decided to go with a different Head Coach? I never heard or understood why?

Completely agree and not sure why he didn't get the chance to keep building the program either.

Definitely will be a contender in their first few years. Summertown has always had athletes, mostly in baseball and basketball, but I can see that translating over to their football team.

I'll say more after the scrimmage with WC this fall. I'm thinking 0-10 their first year and then getting gradually better over the next two or three

The Eagles will be scrimmaging Mount Juliet Christian.

I doubt it will be before spring practice

With the district they are put in, I can see Summertown winning 2-3 games in the first year. Richland is going to be very beatable-that place is a dumpster fire in football and the new Christian schools race Academy should be beatable as well.

You sure have a lot of faith in an unproven team. Varsity games moves a little faster than JV.
