Guest Converse
How does this district look this year. Sequatchie looked a lot weaker during the summer than they were last year. How about Grundy County and Bledsoe County ? Can any team from this district compete with the teams from District 5AA in the regions ?
KELL44
It's true that Sequatchie lost some athlete's from last year's team. If our Seniors will step up and lead this team, I think we will surprise some people. We have alot of raw talent, it's just a matter of learning to play together. There are several Freshmen and Sophmores that will see playing time this year. As far as the other teams mentioned in this thread, I think Bledsoe will be the team to beat, but they are beatable. All three teams are participating in play days at Walker Valley last Saturday and this coming Saturday. We're playing McMinn Central, Polk, W.V., McMinn County, etc. The teams from District 5AA. It will be tough to get out of the region with the talent in district 5AA. I look for McMinn Central to go all the way!!!
Sequatchie
KELL44, Will there be a Sequatchie Vallley Jamboree this year? I haven't heard anything about one.
KELL44
Yes, it is Monday the 18th. It will be held at Bledsoe this year. Sequatchie girls will play Marion and Grundy. Bledsoe girls will play Marion and Grundy. I don't have the times yet.
thegreatMC
Kell44, It doesn't take a senior to lead a team to victory.
KELL44
i try really hard to be a leader but when it comes to a jump ball and a senior gaurd gets the ball and doesnt know what goal is ours what can you do. THAT IS COMMON SENSE TO KNOW WHAT GOAL IS YOURS. JW NEEDS TO SHOW HIS STUFF ON SCHS IN JAMBOREE
Sequatchie
Kell44, Do you have the time the Jamboree starts and a full schedule boys & girls games? How many Lady Indians do we have on roster this year?
KELL44
I don't have a full schedule of the games for the jamboree. We play our first game at 5:30. I think we play Grundy Co. first, our boys will follow. If I get a full schedule from coach Barker over the weekend I'll post more info. Our girls roster consists of 15 girls. 5 Seniors (one of which has never played) 2 Juniors 3 Sophmores and 5 Freshmen.
Sequatchie
Thanks, I thought there might be a schedule in the "Tribune" but I didn't see one.
KELL44
If it's not football it won't be in the Tribune!! The Sequatchie Valley Jamboree starts at 4:30. Bledsoe plays the first set of games. Our girls play Grundy at 5:30 with our boys following. Then we play Marion at 6:45 with our boys following. The last game is scheduled for 8:15. Bledsoe will play Marion the last set of games.
