The fans were separated tonite because at the game against Chester Co. on tues. nite our student section moved down after to half near and behind the Chester fans and some of their fans got upset with our kids. Our Bunch was warned by the center ref and calmed down.

In order to avoid a similar situation a decision was made to try to avoid the same issue. Despite this....a Lexington parent was escorted out by the police at the bequest of the refs and all the crowd was told that any future dialogue with the refs would result in the game being ended? I know the refs can clear the stands but I do not think they can just stop a game. Don't know....

What happened to the muffins?

They got baked.....actually it was a good game that could have gone either way.  Both teams went through periods where they dominated, and it seemed that CCS spent more time back on their heels than MCM did.

The Boyd/MCM game should be a good game, but in the last month or so Boyd has struggled against teams that they shouldn't be struggling against (Loudon and CSAS), so I would give the edge to MCM.  Weather could be a factor, as Boyd's field doesn't drain well, so they may be playing in the muck if we get much rain.

CCS should beat Hixson pretty easily.

If Boyd can find the net they can win. The only thing that kept the 2 CSAS games close was Boyd couldnt finish. Had they finished 40% of there chances they would of won 10-2 instead of going into a shootout. After watching MCM last night, I think we can play with them.

Deja vu....I believe we had this same discussion last year.

I believe Boyd can hang with them as well, and if things are clicking for the Bucs they have a excellent shot at getting to State.  Gun to my head, I still pick MCM.

Ill find out and let you know Im not sure either. If you can make it I will come and say hello.

Just found out that both games in Chattanooga kick-off at 6:00.  I won't be able to swing that.

Good luck to the Bucs.  Be sure and post updates.

Great post! Great defense! Alas, this is not college, nor pro, nor Premiership soccer. The arrogance, and showmanship took away from the beautiful game. As did the need to separate fans/parents. Chester Co. is the worst of them. Lexington only had issues (the fan being escorted out) because of what I stated above. Don's (not Donavan) just mad because nobody in the town he lives in takes him for his word. He tries to act like he owns soccer In Henderson Co, but the fact is, he had/has to be a ref to be able to set foot in town. Like the old saying goes......can't play? Coach. Can't coach? Ref. Story of his life.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
