If we play smash mouth/ run it down your throat football.... we might have a chance. If we continue to try to be fancy....we will get beat by 70. I believe we have the talent to compete if we focus on what we are good at. We have an offensive line most teams could only dream of.

Cool we just recently signed a contract with underarmour, even more appealing we built a new weight room/ indoor practice facility.... Obviously the liftathon is a big success and selling those "awesome" cards also seemed to have raised quite a bit also..... The point I'm getting at, we need to get back to the basics, obviously none of this has helped in translating to the scoreboard on Friday night! Get back to power football and quit throwing the ball 30 times a game with a sophomore QB... No need to be fancy with the pro style spread, and flaunting our underarmour jerseys and new weight faculty. I just want us to win a darn game.

Did MJ change to black and silver?  I don't think it looks bad, but it's not the classic black and gold.

Edit*  I really don't like it to be honest. They had the best looking jersey/helmet in the region. Now it just looks like they are trying to be flashy everywhere.

Smash mouth football is playing right up RHS alley ( it's their strength )

Your gonna see so many d formations , stunts /blitzes - very confusing for O line

RHS is sound , don't make mistakes and have a proven winner at QB

Game is over by halftime

I agree 100%. I don't like the silver. need to get back to school colors. MJ did have the best looking helmets and jerseys.

I also agree with MJ GOLDENBEARS... win a darn game. Have not beaten a team with a winning record since the 2012 team.

Community will not put $'s into a losing program. The Bears have everything they have asked for; from facilities and equipment and team support. I don't think another community supports their team more than Mt. Juliet does theirs.

I disagree on the helmets and jerseys!! Never ever thought they had the best looking. The silver is very odd to me as well.

Looks to me as if the community and fans don't believe in their own players and coaches who i am sure put a lot of time and effort into what they do. I think we all forget that this is high school football and calling players and coaches out on some things that aren't necessarily their fault is just ridiculous. it takes 11 on the field each play and it takes the strength of a community to be successful on and off the field.  So quickly do we forget about the dedication of the players, coaches, and their families who make sacrifices for the different programs.  Always believe in your kids and coaches. any doubt from will always result in a bad program.  Im sure MJ will get out of a rut and come prepared for each opponent they play.  Encouragement goes a lot farther than negativity at any school.  I respect any coach or player who puts in the time and commitment it takes to play the wonderful game of football.

I thought that the new logo they put on several years ago was a much needed change.  I love Hendersonville's helmets, I think that Gallatin has good jerseys that are timeless (not in grey however), but the helmet/jersey combination is one of my favorite with MJ.  Not anymore though, the grey jerseys looked bad last year.  The claw marks on the numbers look worse this year.  Beech tries to look like UT though and it looks terrible.  Hendersonville's camo numbers I like, a little, and glad that they are at least playoff jerseys.  Station Camp's numbers look bad and I can't stand them anyway!

It did make them look better. I thought Lebanon's blue jerseys looked good. Love Gallatin's green on green look. I liked Beech's from several years ago with the blue and orange. Station Camp's are very plain. Hville home look is decent but not a fan of the camo numbers. Wilson Central was avg.

This was my thought process the first two mediocre seasons we had, but now we are 0-2 and in the midst of another mediocre season.... Something has got to change and fans can't stay on the happy train all the time, coaches have to come to a realization that current tactics are not working. Go back to the basics, I support MJ and I know Coach T is a hard worker and dedicates so much time into the program. With that being said fans want to see their team win games, and that's not happening, football is a tough sport this isn't a game for weak hearted.

it had not occurred to me Ravenwood has given up 44 point through the first 2 games. Not that it will make much difference this week, but that won't work down the road.

I think MJ is capable of putting a performance that can give Ravenwood a game, many people don't relaize that. Which is completely understandable based off of our first two games. I see us coming out with something to prove and atleast giving them a game, the whole getting beat by 70 is a little preposterous.

    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
