Also ehs people. You all read the article about the 7th grader who just came up short on a 40+yd kick? If he stays in the system he'll be an excellent addition come high school

If our middle school was on high school campus like SH he would be the varsity kicker! Made a 38 yarder in the rain first game this year! Missed 40 and 42 yarder by about a yard but was dead center!

Blazer1 it is nice. I think you'll enjoy it. Just a word of advise tho, finding parking is a pain. Make sure to come early and get as close as you can. A lot parked at the Ingles shopping center. Since LaPorte give money for the stadium, he's so nice to allow ppl to park at his bank across from the stadium for $5. Isn't that nice of him ? Ok... Seriously, parking may be an issue so get there early. Now as for the game. I think this game will be closer than most are expecting. I know Boones 2-27 against Betsy but if the Cyclones don't sure up the penalties and develop more balance, it could go either way. Looking forward to another night of high school football.

Boone could win this game IF they eliminate stupid mistakes. Both loses were close and came down to the final play but they could easily be 2-0 instead of 0-2. If they put 2 good halves together then they will win. They are much better this year than last. Hampton put 50 on Johnson County by halftime. Elizabethton only had 32 for the entire game.

I'm going to have to be from Missouri on this Boone team, I guess we'll find out in a few days..

Sometimes it comes down to who wants it the most.    At times Boone seems to want it but then they just sort of stand around and watch the game blow by.     Boone has been in 2 very close games decided by a total of 9 points.   In the South game Boone caught a pass in the end zone, except the receiver was ruled out of bounds.    Later we dropped a pass in the end zone that would have been a sure score.    So the breaks have not gone Boone's way but you also have to make your own breaks.     And as mentioned previously, only 2 wins against Elizabethton since 1972 does not do a lot to inspire confidence.      Just hope we can keep it close against a quality program.      If Boone can stay within 3 scores I would be happy.

So we beat Johnson county 42 -13 last year. So everyone is thinking us scoring one less td is gonna give a 0 and 2 Boone team a chance . I say Betsy is over the new stadium jitters and ready to play ball. I'm sure there will be no more 150 yards in penalties. Go Cyclones!

I do think we are a team that needs to and will improve week to week. We are not the style team we were with 28 in the back field. We have a lot of youth that needs time to develop and game speed is the only thing you can't coach. I still think Betsy wins but will be much closer than most Betsy faithful think. So with that said...Go Cyclones!!
