Chattanooga Christian at Signal Mountain

Every game needs a thread, so here it is.

I wouldn't say this is a must win game for my Eagles, but this is a must win game for my Eagles.

I think we made it through last week without any new injuries, so maybe the winds are shifting in our favor. It was nice to see Wood and Johnson back last week, and hopefully, we will have one or two more back against the Christians. Since we had to shift a lot of players around with the injuries, it will be interesting to see how things change with people coming back.

Unfortunately, it looks like the turnover bug has replaced the injury bug. It will be hard to beat anybody but ourselves if we keep turning it over five times a game. If we can eliminate the turnovers, I think we have a good chance to get our first win Friday. If we turn it over five times again, we'll be 0-5.

GO EAGLES ! ! !

CCS is actually a pretty darn good team.  They are coached very well.  Signal is also coached very well with the few kids they have left.  This should be a good game.  I gotta pull for the Eagles.  They have a good coach in place and if the town aint careful he will cut a trail due to such small support.  Hes a good one guys...if you dont want Wise we will gladly swap with you at Central.

agree CCS has gotten better; they beat lookout valley by 7 more than they did last year (43 to 0 vs 50 to 0)....and this years loss to ND was by 29 vs 35 last year......North Red Bank Mountain stamped bout a 35 point difference on them last year....Troll, this year is all on you to proove they are only makin 7 point gains on teams this year....yall are in a really bad funk; but surley yall aint this bad.....dont mess this up and leave it up to Grace Baptist to settle this discussion

Booger just sayin

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
