NasTchristian
Depth and injuries were some issues. We had the lead at the half and felt pretty good about it. They scored on first drive of half, stopped NCS, then threw a double pass fora score. That took the wind out of us it seemed. 2 turnovers on the next 2 drives. kenmynattcpa
After watching the game film, my thoughts: 1) JPII had great size and very athletic 2) 4 NCS turnovers 3) JPII has a great QB who has a quick delivery and is extremely accurate. 4) NCS only threw the ball when everyone in the stadium knew it was coming. Very predictable. 5) NCS for the most part went toe to toe with JPII. 6) JPII's kicker had 3 FG's from 40+ yards, quite a weapon! 7) JPII COULD beat Union City. They are a great team when playing great 1A teams. 8) This loss is going to toughen up NCS even more and might be the best thing at this point to humble them and provide the spark to get them to Cookeville this year. I agree with #8....NCS should be humble losing to a 1-3 team? if CoachT is correct
NCSdad1962
Just heard that JP2 had MM7 stickers on their helmets last night. Very classy. And our parents are talking about how classy the JP2 players/parents/fans treated our group. Nice to hear.

There are 4-5 teams in the West that could beat the Titans, let alone some 1-3 second-rate D2 school. Just ask 'em - they'll tell you. And, oh yeah, they only play with what they got in their school district. The Titans actually pay their players and those teams out West could still beat 'em. Those West TN teams are just so superior and I should just accept it. I also failed to consider three of JPII losses were to some really weak teams no one has heard of. Brentwood Academy..Father Ryan.....Ensworth....never heard of them. Truthfully I just don't know how NCS can recover from this devastating loss...... (insert heavy dripping sarcasm here). You are funny though if that's your goal. Edited September 26, 2015 by stangfan89
