Lake County will win. Peabody doesn't have an identity. Peabody-21 Lake County-28

Somebody was in the "juice" when they posted this. I'm telling you people, Trenton isn't that bad. They've been beat by two pretty good teams. They will be dangerous in the playoffs. They are by far the best team in Gibson County.....hands and paws down.

Congrats to Trenton on the win. Feel bad for the Trenton fans that drove and paid  to see that mess. I pretty well knew the outcome as far as the winner before the game ,at least LC would have given an effort. It's the worse effort I'd seen in over 10 years. Just seems like they laid down and called it quits after Trenton scored early. Trenton has a fine team. Still think UC ,Dresden and Trenton in that order. Malone probably helps at quarterback but still think Winn is the top qb that I have seen. Trenton coach pulled his starters in the 3rd quarter but being up 53-16 with just over a minute to go, threw a pass play for about 55 yards .Don't know what was up with that.I guess he would have liked Trenton reserves to score and since they didn't on the play ,decided to take a knee. But Congrats to Trenton on an easy win. Good luck the rest of the way.

There was an argument for them when they were undefeated. Not taking anything from your 4 championships covering the last 4 and 1/2 decades there Junior, but they got beat by a weak westview team--who milan beat at martin--who lost to Trenton at the beginning of the season. That was based on wins/losses--which is what counts in football. After last night's beatdown by westview, Trenton has jumped SGHS. Happens every week in college football. Don't worry, when it's said and done this season---You'll be the 2nd best team in Gibson County, so put a smile on your face.

Correction: "smart" your not or "smart" you are not? Think about it Little Puppy.

Sure wins/losses count, but an argument that they were the best team at that time does not count who they played.  They beat:

Jackson Christian (1-6)

Obion County (1-6)

Jackson Central (0-7)

Trinity Christian (2-5)

McNairy Central (3-4)

South Side (5-2)

They went 6-0 against teams with total records of 12 wins and 30 losses.  Until proven otherwise, Peabody is still the team to beat in Gibson County.  And as far losing to a "weak Westview team", wouldn't that make your earlier argument as SGHS being the "team to beat" one full of hot air?  Just wondering......

Of course, I don't have a dog in this hunt but I felt like adding my two cents worth.  Have a nice day!

Of course his argument is full of hot air. When he said S Gibson was the best team in Gibson Co he gloated about how sure he was and how he was a "genius". Now he is back pedaling and insults others when they point out his errors.

    • It was not ACHS at all, they have zero reason to worry about Clinton.  It had to do with a kid (non football player)  that had a charge and appeared in front of the juvenile judge.  The judge saw that the kid was way behind credit wise for his grade and told him to reappear in a month with a plan to graduate.  When the kid reappeared he had more that twice the credits than one month before.  The judge called BS and contacted the school.  That is what started the investigation.  This involves multiple students, but to this point no athletes are involved.
    • I believe the Covington Chargers travel to Trenton Peabody for a scrimmage today? Anyone going to this? Curious how the Chargers will do.
    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
