I'm for Waverly all the way but don't know much about this Jackson Christian team. What do you guys think?

If Waverly plays like they are capable they will win first round. Just remember last years first round so its not going to be gave to you. Second round if its McKenzie will be tough. Look at their schedule. They beat Camden and gave Adamsville a good game.

What was the deal with Jackson Christian beating McKenzie 38-21? I dont believe any game 1st,2nd etc rounds are going to be gimme's. Region 6 is a tough region. All any team can do is strap it on and play their best.

Ath last years first round was not even close we smoked that team from Memphis so I have no clue what you are talking about. Nobody needs to be looking past the first round I can promise you Waverly won't be over looking Jackson Christian and they will be ready knock snot!!

My bad. You're right I was thinking of the game against HC. A team Waverly had handeled pretty easily in the regular season.

When JC beat McKenzie, both teams were on fall break that week.  No way to know if that was a factor.  JC lost to Scott's Hill on a last possession TD by Scott's Hill.  JC is rebuilding, and they are better, but still have things to work on.

 

Conventional wisdom would dictate that a 4-seed almost never beats a 1-seed.  Waverly is #1 for a reason.
