It's been surprising what Simpson and Arlington has put together in such a short time. Impressed with Blount and Sevier County school efforts. Halls has done a remarkable job in that area as well. Will be interesting to see what science hill will put together over the next few years. I'm thinking coach Miller has some exciting years ahead. Hixson should have some reasonable reloading from their young bucks coming up, and will earn respect as usual. Baylor will obviously have some strong years ahead. Keep an eye on Bradley as they're working hard to rebuild the bear nation. Of course father Ryan is always reloading from their pipeline. Roberts is everywhere and will reload as well at beech. Clarksville will be extraordinary coming up. Way to go Dave! Several upcoming grapplers preparing for high school in Middle Tennessee of course Rutherford County a hotspot along with Williamson County. You never know which school they will end up however, I like the loyalty to the Blue Raiders along with Bradley County and Al senior's WV. Impressive showing in recent weeks and months in that area especially with a super 32 champion from CMS. Haven't kept up with the Bros as of late, but I understand they have a few likely talents coming up. Coach cook is always working on his future talent pool up there with his Cavaliers in Cookeville. Tullahoma you're always competitive and has a lot of passion for our great sport, right Al Jr? Will be interesting to see who can compete with Bradley and Cleveland the next few years other than Baylor. McCallie may sneak up on a few, but we'll see. Soddy's been less than active without the turners, and Henry, but parody grows in that north Chattanooga Area. Notre Dame appears to have some things going on with Rocco now leading the way... admin support will not be lacking there for sure, similar to Cleveland and Bradley.

Wilson Central may be reasonably competive this season, but I understand plenty of talent coming up for the next few years.

IMO, there are several public and private middle school programs that will be strong in the coming years.  We have all noticed that the bar is raised everyday and if a coaching staff is not on top of things they will be left standing on the platform as the train leaves the station.  The wrestling programs are only as strong as the leadership and if the coaching staff or administration changes at any of the top programs it could create discontent within the program and families would then start looking for other educational alternatives.  While it has been done it is very difficult for any athletic program to stay on top if the administration is not fully supporting the program.  The day's of kids just automatically going to the local neighborhood school have been over for years.  Parents are quick to pull the trigger and place their children in a school that they feel best fits the needs of each individual child.

...another words augment the gift or don't bury the talents coming up. It is true that some programs tend to take their impressive talent and be content with a few medals as opposed to state championships over the years... this d1/public setback has occurred in Tennessee since the seventies, but at times the wind is taken out of the sail for that public high school program as some of the most talented wrestlers are plucked off for reasons suggested above. We were grateful in the late seventies that Pat Murphy Ronnie Voss and Wesley Arnold remained at Hixson High. And later a couple of Blossers, Johnathan Smith and Todd Wheeler and others stuck around as well.

This of course is one of the reasons why we have multiple divisions in Tennessee today, which the larger public schools & the private schools are usually united in wanting everything back together, with the exception of Notre Dame of course

I seriously doubt that current Notre Dame coach Roco would care if the publics and privates were back together.  It's funny that states with population bases the size of New Jersey & California only have one division in wrestling.

agreed! And other very established wrestling states with greater populations may be with two possibly three divisions
