Riund 3: Marshall County @ East Hamilton

Do any of you know if East Hamilton is bringing in temporary bleachers? Marshall County is bringing a VERY big crowd. From what people have said on here and judging by pictures, the visitor bleachers are almost non-existant.

And not to disparage the fine folks of East Hamilton, but as if it wasn't ridiculous enough that Marshall at 9-1 and the one seed has to travel to a 3 seed, this makes it even worse. How does not having hardly any visitor seating and not having RUNNING WATER AND TOILETS meet the standard of adequate facilities as defined by the TSSAA for a freaking playoff game!?

We meet the standards set by TSSAA, read em. Locker rooms for each team and a separate space for refs. Adequate security and a football field. Your gripe is with Hamilton county department of education, PLEASE complain to them, sorry for the inconvenience but we really do all we can with the funds available to us. For what it's worth. It just came out today that we are getting proper bathrooms and concession stand, next year.

To answer your question about bringing bleachers, I don't think that will happen. Never have done it before and we do host some big crowds. I have explained all this once before and tried to warn all of you so you won't be too upset when you get here and have nowhere to sit. Please spread the info around to everyone that's coming, you really can bring chairs and still have a decent view with no chain link fence in front of you. I know it's not ideal but it's something and at least you know beforehand. Sorry.

I still can't get over Marshall County having to travel for this one.  Doesn't matter now, but I brought that up at the beginning of the thread and still haven't figured out how the TSSAA continues to find new ways to prove it's run by a bunch of idiots.

Oh well, should be a really good game tomorrow night.  Sounds like both teams both will have their fair shares of athletes and big boys.  East Hamilton probably hasn't seen an offense like Marshall County, and Marshall County probably hasn't seen a defense like East Hamilton.  Will definitely be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

I agree with your thoughts on where this game is being played, goes against everything you've ever seen with tournaments. As long as my boys on D do what they do I feel pretty good about this game. Special teams could play a big role.

Exactly.  This is nothing against East Hamilton or the team that they are.  I would have understood traveling to Stone Memorial because they were the region champ.  I feel the even-odd year rule should only apply when the teams playing are the same seed.  Makes no sense that East Hamilton travels to Page then Marshall County has to travel to East Hamilton.  Can only hope that they will look at this going forward from this year.
