The Vikings took care of Clifton 85-65. The Lions made a lot of open shots and they made 22 free throws tonight. The Vikings head coach got ejected after their point guard got pummeled going for a layup and then #10 for Clifton went 4/ 4 from the line and he made 16 of his points at the line. Either way it was an ugly win for the Vikings as they get ready to take on Summertown on tuesday in Linden for a HUGE district game.

Summertown/Collinwood postponed until Monday.

 

Depends which Summertown team shows up. Collinwood is not very big, but they are quick, scrappy and athletic. My pick, Summertown.

Trojans very young team with zero seniors but do have four of top six returning from an

outstanding team during last year.  They seem to be finding  their identity as season progresses

this may be a fun game...definitely promises to be fast and furious

Very busy schedule this week. Seven district games, interested to see the standings Saturday morning.

 

Loretto is in the drivers seat, can anyone figure out a way to beat them?

 

Collinwood/Summertown matchup should be fast and furious.

 

Wayne Co. with the strong start to the season but have lost 4 straight district games. Can they put their egos aside and make a run?

 

Perry Co. can never be counted out, always plays hard and very well coached. Not sure you want that draw in the district on their home court.

 

Frank Hughes hasn't come up with any district wins but no one can be counted out. Just look at the girls district tournament last year. The 5th and 6th seed played for championship.

Loretto definitely cream of the crop

Collinwood improving but a little green haha...probably a year away

Summertown could challenge

Waynesboro seems like they got issues at bad time

Clifton don't know about them, looks weak

Perry co. inconsistent like last year

I feel like Perry County's got a real good chance of being Atleast number 2 or 3 in the district and possibly upsetting Loretto, it was 44-40 Loretto going into the last quarter, but Loretto is just so tall and it's hard to go against their length. Against Collinwood the Trojans probably made 15 3's and when you got 4 of 5 guys that can knock down shots they're tough. That's how they beat Perry County.

Summertown got down by 20 against Loretto and had tied the game with a little over 2:00 left in the game. Then McBee hits a pull up jumper with someone right on him and the next posession he hits a 3 and that pretty much put it out of reach. They are beatable but someone will have to shoot the lights out because it's hard to rebound against those trees they have.

 

Side note:: McBee is the best guard in the district (smooth operator)
