Got to give Alcoa their due. The Tornadoes have to be one of the hardest hitting high school teams I've ever watched. Big, strong, and well coached. Fantastic facilities and a kettle corn stand....plus a jam-up scoreboard. Enjoyed the halftime highlights with Randall Cobb. Good luck against CPA. Hopefully, we get a chance to play them again next year!

Irish have nothing to be ashamed of at all after back-to-back semifinal appearances.

We might play again next year, and it would likely be at Finley Stadium if it were in the semifinals.

Spot on about "big boy" football... "it a'int no joke". Alcoa has size, speed, and depth you do not see here in Chattanooga, in any classification. Some of our local teams may have a little of both (at certain positions), but not across the board like the Tornadoes. They should see many of their seniors get some D1 scholarship offers - especially the linebackers and D-line. This game should set the tone for our winter/spring training and practice. The underclassmen know what "big boy" football looks and feels like and need to prepare accordingly. It was a tough game to watch (from an Irish fan), but I was really impressed with their preparation and scheming on the defensive side of the ball. I spoke with one of our local priests at halftime and he summed it up pretty well - "can't deny them (Alcoa) being good".

    • I extend my gratitude to ManCoverage for initiating this discussion thread tailored to the residents of Trousdale County. In times of adversity within our football team, it is imperative to have an outlet for expression, and what better platform than CoachT's Craigslist forum? I respectfully request that GOAT exercise discretion in his commentary, as his remarks have caused me personal distress.
    • I am inclined to wager a substantial portion of my financial assets on the likelihood that Waggoner shall transition to an alternative coaching vocation prior to the year 2028. It is my contention that discerning individuals are beginning to perceive his coaching prowess as lacking in the requisite excellence. Allow me to articulate the following assertion: Waggoner represents a markedly superior choice compared to the individual who perpetrated the act of fuel theft.   This individual exhibits a conspicuous propensity for frequent professional transitions, a trait which undermines his credibility and renders him an untenable choice for serious consideration. It is indeed confounding that his candidacy continues to garner attention and support.
    • Yeah same   It’s definitely true that tough times make tough kids, but some kids just have a big passion for the game and will become the best of the best no matter where they come from.
    • Hope you enjoy it King and good to meet you at state this year. Good luck to the Lady Landers. Keep battling.
