The Casey kid from FRA was the best player on the floor when they beat Webb and were up by 20 most of the game.

Scheetz is good no doubt but Casey is having a great season and in the Div 2A middle district POY so far

Casey is good and is having a good season but I'd still take Scheetz over her. Scheetz dropped 28 last year in state championship game with Casey guarding her the majority of the game.

Scheetz also benefitted from having a much better team last year. Sheetz deserves to be nominated but Casey is playing fantastic and dominated the head to head matchup this season.

Please keep in mind…Early-season, Webb had several players injured and scheetz was playing through a foot injury and mononucleosis. Webb finally has all their players back on the floor and playing strong again! Good luck to all nominees!

What players did Webb have out that game? Who was injured for Webb? Casey played with a broken nose and a mask to protect it in that game. I believe she had just gotten back playing a game or two before.

I had the chance to watch Webb school of Knoxville play a couple times this year. I must say Micah Scheetz is definitely one of the best I've seen. All around she impacts the team in a positive way. All the games I've seen she's put up abouT 21+ Points. Definitely deserves it her senior year. Also saw her play last year quite a bit, and probably should've won it then too. Good luck to all.

Single A Brianna Fields from Gibson County and Dakendra Mason from Middleton. West Tennessee should have two players there. AA Jamirah Shutes from Haywood. West TN knows how good she is. Gets double and triple teamed every game. Still averages 25 points. Haywood is a average team but she carries them game after game. Beat South Side and Covington by herself pretty much. Already with high major D1 offers and just a sophmore. AAA Crystal Dangerfield. Not much really to know with this one. McD's AA and UConn signee.

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
