Who are some of the best high school radio announcers ya'll have heard?

Lol. Well the guy that does the Campbell county games is great!!! If you can get by that he's a true homer for his team, he's actually pretty good. Gives it to the refs pretty hard too. Has some great catch phrases, knowledgable of the game, teams, and coaches. You can listen yourself at 1450wlaf.com. I laugh all night.

Roger Ealy(sp) 104.7 WLIV for HS sports in the UpperCumberland and 106.1 covering TTU sports is by far the best play by play and stat update  announcer that I have heard. Calls it like it is, no matter whitch  way it goes . Paints a good word picture and when the station is late coming back from commercials, his coverage is almost like a replay.

Who are some of the best high school radio announcers ya'll have heard?

Two of the best in the bizz are Dave McCulley and Stan Gerard who call all of the TCA games in West TN on Hippie Radio 105.3.  Dave's play by play is top notch and Stan is awesome with his color commentary.

On the irishstreamingnetwork Howie Sompayrac and Seth Mofeld are great.

The guy who does Oneida's games is pretty solid.  Always very polite, respectful, and gracious towards the opposing team's coaches.

 

For some old school (almost good ol' boy) radio, WECO does the games for Morgan County teams.  That can get "interesting" (and one sided for one particular Morgan County school) at times.

I am going to give a shout out to long time Bradley Central Radio Voice, Corky Whitlock. He called Bradley's games in football and basketball from 1961 it his retirement a few years ago.

 

No one did it any better.
