Scrimmage results against Summit: Lets just say the Warriors got smacked in the mouth and this was a wake up call for the team and coaches. The O line is in trouble and needs major over haul. They were undersized and push back almost on every down. The offense was a one man show with an second outstanding performance in a row from the transfer running back but his runs were all outside. Little to no yards gained through the line. Defense again was good to fair but lacked energy. The kicking game again was bad. They will have a hard time getting through the year with only one sophomore kicker with injury problems. The QB position needs work but that's to be expected with one getting 18 snaps last year. Throwing downfield only happened once to no avail. Two weeks to fix the problems and get better. Lets hope they take the coaching to heart.

How is the defense looking? Is the transfer from Oakland as good as his rumored ability?

He didn't play tithe best of my knowledge... And I've never seen him in pads just shorts and tshirt.... Wish he did play would have given Summit some additional work...

I thought both teams played with an edge...

Litaker will be eligible to play starting on Friday and he is a beast and Boykin should be returning as school starts. They will both ad to a solid defense but may be moved around to the other side of the ball since the O line is so weak.

Somebody PLEASE tell the team that the season is HERE and somebody scout the soccer team for a kicker!  If nothing else scout the girls soccer team for a kicker.

Agreed!! The kicker they have has been injured all summer and has yet to make a pat in any scrimmage yet. He didn't work out all summer and this could cost the Warriors games as the year goes on..

Scrimmage friday night showed improvement. Boykin and Litaker were both dress but Litaker didn't see any playing time. The defense looks outstanding not allowing McGavock to cross mid field all evening. Adding these two guys will make it a brick wall. They may have to move some guys over to the O line to help it...it needs it. The transfer from Siegel, Michael Scruggs #30 is making a case for a starting roll at running back with anyone outstanding performance. I have to say he has one of best lateral moves ive seen in years and he's lighting quick. That's a good thing because we haven't really seen anything out of the rest of the cast of backs. QB looked better with one good deep ball but needs to work on his field vision and composure under pressure. 2 weeks to put it all together. Jamboree this Friday night should see what they really have against a much improved Smyrna team.
