Meigs Co football , watch two scrimmage this season and I am not empress so far. The offense was not even close to scoring on McMinn Co this Friday night. What's other people's thoughts.

Meigs Co football , watch two scrimmage this season and I am not empress so far. The offense was not even close to scoring on McMinn Co this Friday night. What's other people's thoughts.

I also watched both scrimmages and it looks like our blocking schemes are not what they should be and our play calling is questionable. Talking to others this isn't something new. I didn't watch them last year but if this was the way it was last season I understand why they only won 4 games. But also take into consideration 3 starting skill players didn't play Friday and that makes a difference. Meigs couldn't run the ball at all and when they tried throwing, it was either dropped or the QB was under a lot of pressure. I do believe if Meigs had all their starters out there they would have won that scrimmage Friday and not have lost 6-0. IMO

My thought is you are sandbagging!!  lol  You guys should be much improved.  Good luck and stay healthy.

McMinn Co is no joke especially for a normal 2A school. Linemen are bigger and they double(in number) your players. We played McMinn the previous Friday and final score was 14-13(Rams won). MC was tough to run on. It was good the game ended when it did,because our linemen where getting a little tired. IJS

McMinn Co will be lucky to win four games this season, they don't have the athlete's. Meigs had same number of kids McMinn had. We are hurting for a OC . We will be competing for four again this season unless something changes.

Meigs offense final got on track last night at Hixon , the run game was much improved but the passing game needs work , offensive line could help that out when they gel and give more time to the QB
