South Pittsburg vs Seqatchie (Grider against this Caine man)

1st off, you don't know much or you would realize that Whitwell, Sale Creek and LV are in the Pirates region.  2ndly you would know they have played Boyd nearly every year for 35 years.  They played Polk County for about 6 years when Polk was tough before they went on hard times like last year and the year before.  3rdly, they have played Jasper about 92 times in a row.  Lastly, why do you think a multiplier will be applied to a public school that has averaged 229 to 245 students for the past 15 years?

Once again, an excellent post by RLH.  The real key to SP's success is our head coaches.  Except for a hiccup a few years ago we haven't had the revolving door of coaches seen at other schools.  SP is a solid program built on quality not quantity.

Will consolidation change everything?  Of course it will.  But consolidation is a long way off...if ever.  Marion County is a long, long way from having enough money to consolidate.

Will Richard Hardy and SPHS someday merge?  Possibly.  Maybe even inevitable.  This hook-up with Lookout Valley could have some negative ripples associated with it.

Will Vic retire again?  Of course he will.  But I'm certain what happened last time will be avoided.

Rain also hampers the guys trying to catch those runners. Like it said, it rains on both sides of the ball.

This comment doesn't add up. A muddy field has a huge effect on teams that run sideways a lot because they can't stop and cut without slipping. If you're one of those teams. It changes the game for the offense and makes it easier for the defense.

MC and SP both have very good middle school teams this year. It will come down to turnovers and big plays bc in middle school you get limited offensive opportunities bc of the clock. Should be a great game and the two teams will probably meet again I imagine later in the year. MC looked really good against a bad CCS team last week but it was obvious they have some really good athletes.

Keep us posted tonight.

Sequatchie went undefeated couple years ago against Jasper, South Pittsburg, Whitwell, Grundy and North Jackson in the 10-11 age group. Not sure if that's going to carry over now that they are in middle school, but they looked pretty solid back then.
