There were about 3 that had never been a head coach before. But Kerr was the only one that had a losing record as a head coach. 2 were from out of state and both of those had won state championships.

Since Jimmy Gaylor left to go to Maryville going on 20 years ago Clinton has never fully recovered, and not sure if they ever will.

What people don't remember or know they didn't have a health/PE position to offer. That cuts down on applicants. Kerr's first year he was still teaching at the middle school. Clinton is not a desired job for an established coach. If they get a new coach then they will need to look at first time coaches more openly.

Why didn't they hire Herrell?  You talk about fan support!  I don't care what his experience level was.  To me that was a no brainer.  Clinton hero, or an AC guy?  Duh

I agree. I would've hired Herrell in a heartbeat.
