Bradley at Cleveland

First off GREAT GAME BEARS.... Hats off to the players who executed and coaching staff who had them ready to play. Coach Freeman gets crticized a lot, nature of the business, but last night he did one the best jobs as OC I have seen him do in a while. Coach Floyd had that defense ready and they executed at a tremendous level.

For those complaining about those of us who discussed team speed, we knew Bradley's defense was fast, but one on one Cleveland's skill players simply are a bit faster, in pure speed. Coach Floyd, in his interviews, said point blank the Bears could NOT miss tackls and let them get going because they would take it to the house. That is nothing but the bare facts. Defensively Bradley locked up and took the Cleveland players down, and never let them get free. That is great recognition and execution. IF McCreary had hit Davis in stride when he got behind the defense on the interception play, he would have been gone to the house. But pressure and great effort made it a turn over.

Offensively, a really good game plan, and well executed across the board. They found weak spots in the Cleveland defense and exploited them. Not many huge spectacular plays but just enough. A great job by Cole Copeland finding open receivers and then escaping and running to daylight.

The one negative was WAY too many penalties. Not just the personal fouls, but blocks in the back and such.

Enjoy the win, but it's time to look forward to the next game and tanking care of business.

GO BEARS
